作品「アンジェリコが若冲の虎の絵を描いたら…」は、もしアンジェリコが若冲の絵を見たらどのような影響を受けどんな作品を描くのかというイメージで制作されました。高橋自身が油彩テンペラという西洋的技法を学んだ画家であるということから、日本の伝統絵画の影響を受け、新たに構築されるこの試みは描くイメージやモチーフ、構図などが大きく変化し広がったといいます。

“As if Angelico paints Jakuchu’s tiger…” was created with the idea of what kind of influence Angelico would have if he had seen Jakuchu’s paintings and what kind of work would he paint? Since Takahashi himself is a painter who studied the Western technique of tempera in oil, he says that the images, motifs, and compositions of his paintings changed and expanded greatly in this newly constructed attempt, influenced by traditional Japanese painting.
